A long time ago in a week far far away…
Final prototypes become final parts these past weeks as both our shooter and collector systems finish up their builds and start integrating onto the chassis. Taking the lessons learned from Week 5 the shooter team modified their CAD for the shooter plates so that they could better integrate with the collector system. Our collector System was busy harnessing the power of the Death Star again as they cut out part after part on the plasma cutter.
All subsystems got busy earlier this week as some teams on Chief Delphi found that the shaft retaining screws were not properly secured with Loctite from the factory and so the team got busy and removed all Falcon 500 motors off their prototypes or final designs and started to disassemble them. With the Aluminum Falcons repaired all teams went full steam ahead in getting everything assembled and integrated for our Robot Reveal presentation this Friday.
Speaking of our Robot Reveal presentation, We hope to see everyone from Ferret Squadron there and anyone else interested in joining our robot rebellion! The presentation will begin at 6pm in the Anacortes High School Commons where our students will give a short presentation to cover what we did and why followed by driving demos.
See everyone on Friday!
