On Saturday, July 8th, 2017 Team 3238’s Safety Team members Kathryn Coryell and Li-Ling Plume set up a First Aid Booth at the Kids ‘R’ Best Fest at Storvik Park in Anacortes.
Our booth included a safety scavenger hunt where kids had to point out 5 safety related items in the booth, for example, a fire extinguisher or a hard hat. The scavenger hunt prize was a piece of candy with the team email on it so that parents of kids can contact us to join the team if they’re interested.
We also had a safety manual in the booth for people to flip through to learn about our program, and a remote-controlled Lego robot for kids to drive on the table. By the end of the day our only injury was a boy Red Cross had sent over to us.
