ARBC Domino’s Pizza Fundraiser December 16th.  Mark your calendars – Wednesday December 16th – savor the anticipation of enjoying delicious Domino’s Pizza from the Anacortes Domino’s.  Tell all of your family and friends that Wednesday December 16th is PIZZA NIGHT!  Further details will be announced on this list.

Tournament Dates.  Our Anacortes FTC and FLL Challenge teams have tournaments scheduled for November 7th, 21st, and December 5th (FIRST Tech Challenge); and Decmber 13th (FLL Challenge).  Team coaches will make more specific announcements with time and location details.

Call for Robotics Competition Volunteers.  Please help by volunteering for a day to support tournaments in our area in November and December.  No experience is needed for most roles, and it really is fun helping teams do their thing.  Search for events in our area: https://www.firstinspires.org/team-event-search?hsLang=en (Select a date range through the end of December in the state of Washington; select a program [FRC, FTC, FLL Challenge] if you have a particular interest.)  All tournaments need volunteers like you to sign up now!  One day of your time for the experience of a lifetime for the students!

ARBC Monthly Meeting Highlights from October 19th.  FTC and FLL tournament dates set (see above).  AHS and AMS Robotics Clubs are meeting regularly and working towards their tournaments.  Two FLL Explore teams are meeting and working towards their Festival to be held in January.  Fundraising is planned with an overall goal of $10,000, with some early success but hard work ahead.  Fall teamwear acquisition/production is getting underway.  Next monthly meeting will be held on 3rd Monday (November 14th).  The December Monthly meeting has been moved to the 2nd Monday (December 14th) due to the 3rd Monday’s proximity to a certain popular winter holiday.

Help Wanted.  If you see the value in having robotics programs available in Anacortes, please consider helping ARBC keep them going.  Even if you can only lend your support to a single event or activity, it is of tremendous benefit.  See the “Help Wanted” page on our website for more information.
