It’s never too early to discover STEM
Through exploratory research, hands-on construction, teamwork, imagination, and fun with LEGO elements, the FIRST® LEGO® League Explore program challenges teams of up to six kids to explore a real-world scientific concept, then build a motorized model and develop a Show Me Poster to illustrate their journey of discovery. Throughout the season, adult coaches provide guidance and inspiration.

Grades 2-4; ages 6-10.  We are looking for students who are ready to take on team-based learning and doing, able to grasp new ideas, and can engage in building an interesting and informative LEGO model and Show Me Poster.  Willingness to work on a team is a must.

Parents participate, too – as coaches, mentors, and team support staff.  We also depend on parents to volunteer at FIRST Washington tournaments (FLL, FTC, and FRC) in our area.
