Rookie All Star Award
- World Championship, Atlanta (Newton Field) – Ranked 61st (3-7-0)
- Microsoft Seattle Regional – Ranked 19th (4-4-1)
“Fred the Robot” was the product of our humble beginnings, our Rookie Year’s inspiration, and success. Although it was not the largest or fastest of the land, Fred was still fast and durable, proving his worth in the Microsoft Seattle Regional. Its main design featured a pneumatic “kicking” mechanism for playing soccer, and his back hid a scissor-lift with a claw capable of hanging in the end game challenge. Our rookie fervor and competitive bot certainly kept the judges’ attention from “breaking away,” as Team 3238 was awarded the Rookie All-Star award, sending us to Atlanta, Georgia to compete in the FIRST World Championship, a prestigious accomplishment for any new team.
