We are eagerly anticipating the 2025-2026 FIRST AGE (presented by Qualcomm) robotics season announced in April. FIRST says:
Uncover The Future with FIRST®
Bring STEM inspiration, holistic skill building, and fun to your classroom or after school learning environment with collaborative problem solving during our archaeology-themed 2025-2026 robotics season.
Follow the FIRST AGE link at the top of this post for more information about this year’s overall theme, including a teaser video.
Season details for individual program’s will be announced later this summer/fall:
- FIRST LEGO League – UNEARTHED – August 5, 2025
- FIRST Tech Challenge – DECODE – September 6, 2025
- FIRST Robotics Competition – REBUILT – January 10, 2026
ARBC’s program pages have been updated with preliminary information about the upcoming season, and the pre-registration links for each program (look for the “I’m Interested” buttons) are ready to collect your contact information for team formation this fall. Use your student’s age/grade for the coming fall to determine program eligibility/suitability.
All ARBC-supported teams in the Anacortes School District’s area rely heavily/exclusively on volunteers as coaches and mentors. Although ARBC helps form teams, the teams can’t become a reality without involved parents. If there is enough interest from parents who are thinking of coaching or mentoring a FIRST robotics team this season, ARBC will host a Saturday morning or afternoon introduction/training session the end of July/beginning of August.
