    AFR at Fidalgo STEAM Night!

    Anacortes FIRST Robotics plans to be at the Fidalgo Elementary Science Technology Engineering Art and Math (STEAM) Night on Friday April 24th from 6pm to 8pm.  ARBC will coordinate with ARBC-supported teams for event ambassadors to show off the FIRST robotics programs to the Fidalgo students and their parents.  If you are part of an ARBC-supported FLL Explore, FLL Challenge, or FIRST Tech Challenge team, please let your team coach know if you are interested in helping out.

    Community Outreach is how we sustain our robotics teams/programs to keep this hands-on STEM opportunity available for future seasons.

    Officers and Directors will be voted in/ratified, plans will be made to close out the fiscal year on June 30th and start the new fiscal year on July 1st.  Planning for the new robotics season will get kicked off, etc.

    Section 3.2 – Monthly Meetings and Annual Meetings

    General Membership Meeting shall be held monthly to transact business in support of the Student Teams, according to the Mission and Purpose of the Corporation, with the exception of the summer months where the meetings can be suspended. Members shall be notified of the time and place of meetings by e-mail or mail by the Secretary. The Annual Meeting of the Members of the Corporation shall be during the month of May on a date and at a time chosen by the Board of Directors. In the event that such Annual Meeting is omitted by oversight or otherwise at the time and date provided for, a substitute annual meeting shall be held as  soon thereafter as conveniently may be, and any Business transacted or held at such meeting shall be as valid as if transacted at the Annual Meeting. Such subsequent meeting shall be called in the same manner as provided for the Annual Meeting of Members.

    AFR at the Anacortes Waterfront Festival

    Anacortes FIRST Robotics will be in the Channel of Discovery at the Anacortes Waterfront Festival on Saturday June 6th and Sunday June 7th (rain or shine, but it almost always shines!).  This free-admission event is fun for the whole family, with boat rides, boat building, commercial and arts vendors, car shows on both days, live music performances, free giant carnival slide, and more.  Visit the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce event page for more details.
